DESCRIPTION:

Kalabaka City - Mount Koziakas You have an early start today, but for a very good reason! There are few natural habitats more pristine and rich in flora and fauna than Mount Koziakas. Koziakas is part of southern Pindos range and is included in the National List of the European NATURA 2000.

The tour at Pindos area will include a visit to the monastery of Saint Theodoroi, also we will visit the old castle in the city of Trikala and we will stay for a while at Trikala city centre.

Continuing our tour to Pyli, we will meet the Byzantine temple of the Virgin Mary's (local name: Porta Panagia) and the stone bridge of the Portaikos river.
 

Following a beautiful path, surrounded by plane trees, we will climb to the traditional villages Elati and Tirna. We will make a small stop there and those who wish can buy local products and enjoy a coffee.
 

Also, if you wish, you will be able to ride on a horse, in the beautiful forest of the area for an hour (By requesting beforehand).

Closing our tour we will return to Kalambaka from the northern side of Pindos.
